Helping train the engineers of tomorrow
Design Experience
Members gain experience with 3D modeling, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, coding, and other engineering skills
Manufacturing Experience
UMLRC uses 3D Printing and Composite Materials to create our vehicle airframes and internal structures and are encouraged to push the limits of what can be done with these methods
Team Skills
Providing opportunities for UML students to gain valuable skills that will apply to their future careers and projects
Our Active Projects

Peregrine Explorer
Peregrine Explorer is our first attempt at NASA University Student Launch Initiative. It is a 4in Fiberglass Vehicle that is able to loft ~2lbs of payload to a target altitude of 5000ft.
Subscale Demonstration flight was completed on 10/19/2024.
Due to weather an other delays, we sadly had to resign from the competition.
The project is not done though, we are planning at least 1 more flight to test our Altitude Control System (ACS).
From Terra, With Love
Our first vehicle designed for supersonic flight. Made entirely from fiberglass, From Terra With Love is designed to punch through the atmosphere.
Highest flight: 4400ft
Next Scheduled Flight: 14,500ft Mach 1.05
Date: TBD
