Design Experience

Members gain experience with 3D modeling, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, coding, and other engineering skills

Manufacturing Experience

UMLRC uses 3D Printing and Composite Materials to create our vehicle airframes and internal structures and are encouraged to push the limits of what can be done with these methods

Team Skills

Providing opportunities for UML students to gain valuable skills that will apply to their future careers and projects

Peregrine Explorer

Peregrine Explorer is our first attempt at NASA University Student Launch Initiative. It is a 4in Fiberglass Vehicle that can loft ~2lbs of payload to a target altitude of 5000ft.

Subscale Demonstration flight was completed on 10/19/2024.

Full-Scale Vehicle Demonstration flight was partially completed on 3/9/2025

From Terra, With Love

Our first vehicle designed for supersonic flight. Made entirely from fiberglass, From Terra With Love is designed to punch through the atmosphere.

Last Flight: 5/19/2024 - Altitude: 4400ft - Speed: Mach 0.66

Next Scheduled Flight: 14,500ft Mach 1.05  Date: TBD
